Students Hard at Work
Fall Mobile Device Pilot Program
We would like to thank all 10 of our Fall Mobile Device Pilot teachers for all of their hard work. These teachers (Ms. Chipman, Ms. Vert, Mrs. Sierchio, Mr. Sorenson, Mrs. McConnell, Ms. Aguirre, Mrs. Gott, Ms. Spolsdoff, Mrs. Webb and Mrs. Rojo) spent the first four months of the school year with 10 laptops in their classrooms. We learned a lot through our Fall Pilot program and saw some excellent student work.
Spring Mobile Device Pilot Program
We are excited to start our Spring Mobile Device Pilot Program. We have 7 teachers (Ms. Chipman, Mrs. McConnell, Mrs. Elias, Mrs. Llewellyn, Mr. Ortega, Mrs. Walk and Ms. Marine) who will have 10 laptops in their classroom from January through May. We are eager to work with these teachers and look forward to seeing their students utilizing technology to broaden and deepen their learning experiences.
This spring we also have 3 very dedicated teachers who are piloting a 1-1 classroom. Mr. Sorenson, Mrs. Rojo and Mrs. Sierchio each received a charging cart and a laptop for each student. They will be testing out new programs and websites for our department. We appreciate the time and energy these teachers have put forth all year long.
English Learner Tablet Pilot Program
Ms. Espinoza is piloting our Tablet program with 4 of her English Language Development students. These 4 students have been in the United States less than one year and are using the Google translate app to help them communicate and translate their assignments. As you can see from the pictures above, these students are enthusiastic to try out the tablets.
