WE ARE NO LONGER ACCEPTING REQUESTS FOR INTEREST CARDS.
Requirements:
- BA or BS Degree
- Complete passage of CBEST
- Emergency 30-Day Permit or Credential
- Fingerprint Clearance (see below)
Rate of Pay:
- $115.00/day - $125.00/day for long term (effective the 21st day of the assignment with reimbusement back to the first day)
- In addition, substitutes covering another class at the middle schools during the scheduled preparation period
will be paid and additional $20 for the extra period.
Substitute Teacher Orientation:
Many times during the school year, our district conducts Substitute Teacher Orientations for all new substitutes to Central School District. At this workshop we provide Substitute Teacher Handbooks and our Human Resources Department provides information about substituting in our district. Employment paperwork is provided at the orientation.
- For those individuals who do not have a Permit or Credential the paperwork
will be provided to you for completion.
- If you belong to the San Bernardino County Substitute Cooperative, Fingerprint
Clearance has been completed.
- If you have not received Fingerprint Clearance, the required information and forms
will be provided to you. The cost for Fingerprint Clearance is not reimbursed.
If you are interested in substituting for Central School District, you may call us at 909-989-8541 or Contact Human Resources via e-mail. In your e-mail, Please include your name and US Mail address. A blue interest card will be mailed to you to complete and return. All cards will be kept on file for six months. When the next workshop is scheduled, you will be contacted by US Mail with the workshop date, time and location. An RSVP is required in order to attend the workshop.
